MOSCOW (Sputnik) — On Tuesday, Jennifer Palmieri said that since RT allegedly published excerpts from the emails of Clinton's campaign chair John Podesta even before the WikiLeaks whistleblowing website released them online, it proved Russia's meddling in the US elections against the Democratic nominee.
"It is amazing that this 100-percent, pure lie is being spread by Clinton's communications director herself. I've handed it over to the lawyers. Let them see if we have a chance in court," Simonyan said.
Earlier in October, the Department of Homeland Security and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence issued a statement blaming the Russian government for stealing and disclosing information on US political parties and individuals tied to the November elections.
The Russian government has repeatedly rejected accusations of meddling in US elections saying that it had not received any official evidence from Washington to support the allegations.
