MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Turkey’s telecom regulator blocked the agency’s website earlier in April, citing "administrative measures."
"The Sputnik Turkey bureau continues its work. After the authorities blocked access [to the website], the bureau decided to publish Turkish-language articles on Sputnik Turkey’s Facebook and Twitter accounts. Sputnik web content is also available via mobile app," the statement read.
In January 2015, Turkish ministers received the right to block any type of resource in the Internet without a court order. They can demand that the Turkish Telecommunications Department and providers block websites or delete content within four hours after receiving a notice of national security, protection of social order, or for the prevention of crime.
