KIEV (Sputnik) — In addition to addressing a peaceful settlement to the conflict in Donbass, the sides discussed Ukraine's cooperation with the European Union and priorities in the context of the country's European integration.
"Yatsenyuk met the Franco-German delegation headed by the German Chancellor's diplomatic advisor Christophe Hoysgen, and the French President's advisor Jacques Audibert," the office said.
The envoys' visit is part of an effort to achieve a full ceasefire in southeastern Ukraine, the withdrawal of heavy weapons and the release of prisoners, as outlined by the Minsk agreement extended into 2016.
An EU-Ukraine arrangement on a free trade zone came into effect on January 1.
